Ok, so I didnt really know how to word this title, but this is a very complex question.

I have a 465 203/205 in my shop right now. I built it. It uses the 32 spline round 208 adapter. I have re-drilled and tapped the face of the 203 and filled in the holes left over from the 7 bolt factory 203 pattern.

Now I have a 400 205 sitting in the shop as well. Round pattern model. Its all assembled as I bought it that way.

What I want to do is put my 203/205 off my 465 on my th400 and put my round 205 on my 465. Im trying to figure out which adapter to use for the th400 to doubler side of things. I would LIKE to be able to use a 400/208 adapter and sell this round pattern adapter but I can use the 400/round 205 adapter if need be. And before it gets asked no I cant use a factory 400/203 adapter as the 203 has had the hole filled in for the round pattern.

As far as the 465/205 goes, im fairly confident I have to buy the 465 round 205 adapter (which ive owned before and sold :doah:) unless I can bolt my 205 to the round 208 adapter. I know the 208 adapter doesnt have the boss for the shifter which is no bigge with cable shifters.

any help here?

For the doubler, just use a 400/208 adapter. Done.

For the 465/205, you can use the 465/208 adapter and then either swap a short 32 spline input into the 205, or use the spacer in this kit.

That is the first ive ever seen that spacer, interesting

Thanks for the quick help chris, always on top of the tech game. I used to know this stuff like the back of my hand. Either im working on trucks less (a good thing) or starting to loose my mind (not a good thing)
