I know these were made only for a couple years. With the new job I'm driving all over the country side. I found a small yard that has a 3/4 ton with this combo. They are asking $300 for tranny and case. Would it be worth it to grab? what bout just the adapter and t-case?? What are they going for??

I'm really tempted to get it, just short on funds ATM. I found an 89 2wd crew cab that runs and drives with a TBI454. Already done this swap before so won't be hard this time around. Get it cheap too. But I've noticed wheeling with a stick can be a pain, specially in the mud, which is mostly what is around here. Either too low a gear, can't clean tires out, or too high and stalls out.
Also watch the 203 input for excessive wear.
