I got my 465 with aluminum hydro bellhousing put on, but apparently when I bought the bellhousing the dust shield didn't come with it.

Where can I find one of these? What do they even look like?

The shield is there to keep mud and rocks out of the bellhousing to prevent clutch failure.

The dealership will carry them, and even there its probably not too expensive.

I knew what it does, I just didn't know where to find it.

Thanks for the info, guys! I will call the dealer, and if that doesn't work out, I will order the one from classic parts

Thanks,

Do ythey work or are you guys removing them for heavy mud and water crossing i have heard both ways.

mine never had one and it started becoming a problem in loose sand. My tires would dig flying sand everywhere clogging up the clutch causing it to slip. So i put one on and have never had a problem either way. Also that was with the wimpy stock clutch, my new centerforce dual friction is far better :waytogo:

If you're willing to spend a few minutes at the junkyard I picked one up yesterday for five bucks along with all the clutch linkages I needed!

mine had one fora small block when i swaped to the big block it did not fir correctly and a modified it bent it a lirttle it ended up shifting and draging on the flywheel so i removed it.
Was looking into replacing it or finding out what happened but not ready for the trial yet so it far down on the list.

Thanks for the input guys. Spent an hour and a half picking around at the junk yard to no avail, so I went to the dealer and got a new one for $28 that will be here tomorrow. The one from Classic Parts would have taken longer than I have to get here.
