Okay just curious on several things here.
1. I have a 89 465 2wd, what exactly is required to make it 4wd? Changing the main shaft?
2. Also what would be needed to hook it up to a 203 or a 208?
3. If using a 203/205 doubler or a 208, is the wheel base of the Blazer too short to allow the use of one of the GearVendors overdrive behind the transfercase?

1. Just get the correct 4WD SM465, it will cost more to change it over than its worth.
2. The ccorrect splined mainshaft, adapter.
3. Don't know

yup just get a smc465 mated to a transfercase already..... get the cross menber.. since you already have the smc in there now you are good to go with the clutch portion.. pedals and stuff... :wink1:

oh yeah.. gonna need a bigger hump in the middle... I went from a 2wd cab on my truck and had to cut out the hump as it was a solid piece of metal... then had to screw my hump onto it as the 4wd hump unbolts..
although your truck is newer so that may not be an issue...

Well I figured that just getting a 4wd 465 would be best. Anyone have any idea about running the gearvendors behind the tc on a blazer?

I'm not sure if it makes a difference, but I've got an 88 sm465/np208 and my tranny hump is welded on.
