had my 86 k5 for 7 years and it never bothered me but my brother drove it the other day and he question why it seems like when in any gear (including neutral) when you completly let off the gas, the truck slows down like it has a parachute attached to it.
i did a emissions test in college, and part of the test was to take it to 80 and let it coast to a stop. well it went from 80 to 5 so quick everyone thought that i had my foot on the brake.
now i watched other trucks do the same test and it took them 3 times as long to slow down.
i hardly have to use my brakes when slowing down and im just curious if this it normal (only 4 speed truck i have ever owned)
now its not brake drag, cause i went from 10 bolts with 33's and 4.10's to completly rebuilt d60's with 35's and 4.56s and it does exactly the same thing.
new motor and drivelines the only thing that is the same it the 200k mile 465/208 combo
like i said it doesnt bother me im just curious to what yall think. i mean you let off the gas and it drags you down fast.
