The marine 496 would be bad ass.

yup, I'm a marine mechanic, dozens of em in my marina.... sold a new roller 502 long block to a customer today... i could get the rebuildable core pretty damn cheap if I wanted... it needs a valve job, bore and pistons, etc....

you'll LOVE the torque! :wink1:

Im trying to make a final decision on the exhaust, I already have all the parts i need. I will be running dual 3" pipes with 40 series flowmasters. I cant decide wether to do a h pipe or not. I can fit if need be, but im not sure if i should bother. anyone have any expeirence, advice or input with this?

any idea on the build specs? How hot the cam is, etc?

It came out of like an 85 chevy dually that my buddy used to pull his trailer with his pulling trucks inside the trailer. It was built by the guy who builds the motors for his pulling trucks, which are crazy engines to say the least. I know it has a towing cam, its nothing to radical. Im no expert but im just going by what he told me and what i know. 9:1 compression, fully balanced, roller rockers, cant remember anything else he told me:doah:

Not sure if I have ever even posted any pics of my truck, so here is a few, this is all i have right now, they are off my phone

I love long bed reg cabs....thats what my 85 was.
Real nice.

Did you run an electric fuel pump?
Can you post up a pic of the pass side front frame area where the engine sits in the frame. I'm wanting to see where is a good place for the fuel line to come out to a mechanical fuel pump.

I havent done the fuel system yet. I was going to go with an electric pump but now I think I am leaning more towards a mechanical pump . All the fuel lines and the gas tank are out of the truck, I putting in a new tank and new stainless braided fuel line. If you still need me to take a pic of something just let me know.

I'd appreciate a pic of the pass front area, just to see where the BB sits in the frame, and the stuff up front by the crossmembers. I'm running a SS hard line through the frame, then boxing the frame in, and would jjust like a reference pic of the area, to decide where I want to bring the line through the frame box.
