49" Irok vs 44" bogger, picture

Re: 49\" Irok vs 44\" bogger, picture

Why is FSC looking at 44's and 49's? Those aren't gonna be good on all those 10bolts and IFS they run. /forums/images/graemlins/eek.gif

Re: 49\" Irok vs 44\" bogger, picture

you know I think thats the best picture I have seen yet. They always looked really bad to me and I haven't yet liked the design but that picture makes me think its a modified Super Swamper designed to be more like a bogger. You know rougher tougher and wear to match.

damn, those r some big mo-fos. Dunno what kinda axles you'd need to run em though. maybe a Avalanche titan? I sure as heck wouldnt run em with 1-ton stuff.... and 16 splines might not be enuff on that 2.5t axle... /forums/images/graemlins/grin.gif

Rockies will handle the 49" tires no problem, seeing how Michelin XL's (the 48" variety) can be run them.

Re: 49\" Irok vs 44\" bogger, picture

i believe there's a superduty out there on a d50 front and whatever rear it is...factory axles running them 48" michelins.. am i right? its one of the rag mags project trucks...

Re: 49\" Irok vs 44\" bogger, picture

4Wheel & Offroad put a Dynatrack D60 under the SD. Sounds like they are breaking stub shafts like crazy w/them.

Yep, I second that. 4WOR did install a D60 in place of that weaker D50, and yes, they are going thru stubs like a mofo. /forums/images/graemlins/frown.gif

Re: 49\" Irok vs 44\" bogger, picture

I believe that truck in the mag is runnin' the 42" XL's (might be 46s though, now that I've woke up and thought about it /forums/images/graemlins/tongue.gif), and from what I've heard, their stubs are breaking a bunch. I've got a partner out here runnin' the 48" XL's on Rockies w/ a supercharged 350 pushin' them, and hasn't had an axle problem...yet.

Re: 49\" Irok vs 44\" bogger, picture

It's running the 46's with the dynatrac 60 front with 35 spline stubs and it broke 1 stub.

Re: 49\" Irok vs 44\" bogger, picture

Something to keep in mind also is that superduty is running a tweaked up Powerstroke as well, selectable chip, exhaust, propane, etc.

Re: 49\" Irok vs 44\" bogger, picture

When I was talking to Fred Williams when he rode along w/ us, he said the SD was breaking shafts like they were free.

BTW the issue w/ that ride along is due out ANY day now. /forums/images/graemlins/thumb.gif The current cover pic is a good friend of mines Bronco.
