Hello

I have a 1995 transmission. Its a 4l60e, according to what I have read that the 95 is its own beast with its FCC puslse width modulated or something like that. Feel free to correct me. My transmission was rebuilt years ago. Buy the transmission sat there for years. And is currently making a squeaking, squealing noise from the front pump/torque converter area. Only when the trans is hot. And mostly when ideling at a stop sign or park.

Things that I have done so far
1. Stall test, rpm reach 1800 rpm ish, stock stall lock Idk. Please inform me
2.checked trans fuse. All good
3.checked the trans for codes after driving approximately 30 miles. Nothing pops up
4. Check with a scanner solenoid operation of all solenoids. And I can seen them changing. The force motor or epc or pressure regulator amps is also listed
5. Failing or clogged epc or force motor what ever name it is, is said to cause a squealing of the pump because it starves it of oil. Truck gets up and goes
6. Ohmed out the pressure regulator solenoid and is within specs at 4 ohms. Screen looks kinda dirty. Can I clean it?

Things I noticed. Has a 93 valve body on the 95 trans. Is it compatible? Has all the correct soleniods as far as I can see.

What do I do next? Replace the torque converter? Does it get Ruined? I also haven't checked line pressure as I don't have a line pressure checker . Should I check this?

If the trans sat for years it could have dried up seals and starving for required oil pressure. I would take it to your local trans shop and have them take it for a drive and see what they have to say about it but make sure you let them know this trans has sat for years before use.

Is there something I can do to check that? Line pressure or something. I just need to purchase one.

It was built wrong. The 93 valve body will not work with PWM TCC, neither will the Memcal/chip in the PCM.
The '93-'94 is a NON PWM transmission. This means that the lock up apply strategy is an on /off arrangement. It has an 11 pin case connector. Does not have PWM cast into front pump. 1 piece TCC control valve in the valve body. Plate has holes in plate,

I checked the trans id it says 5cxd351a

5 = 1995 model year
CXD= APPLICATION Id for a truck
3= is calendar year
51 = Julian date. The day of the year it was build
A = shift build

So based on this info do I have the correct trans for a 95 pcm? Or do i need to get a whole new trans or just a 95 valve body with the 95 wiring harness

I don't know. Most of the PWM versions can be changed to non-PWM just by changing the "pulsing" valve for a standard one. Makes lock-up on-off. So not having PWM doesn't mean the trans can't work fine. I have no idea, though, what the valve passages differences are on the case side. That determines which valve bodies are compatible. The change might just make it work like a '93. The fact the truck drives says a lot. So I have a few questions:

-What vehicle is it in?
-Do you have the stock PCM for that vehicle or something swapped in?
-Does the TCC actually lock?
-Did it ever work right, or has it been squealing from the first start?
-Does it have stock pan or a deep pan?
-Does the noise go away as RPM increases?

If you think it's starving for oil, make sure the pump is seated right, that there is only 1 filter seal in the pump, that the oil level is right and the filter sits at the right level in the pan. And maybe change the filter.

Its a 1976 k5
The wiring harness and pcm is all from a 95 suburban
I'm not sure
Squealing from the start
Stock pan
And it does ago for a while with higher rpm then comes back

92-94 valve bodies have shift solenoid a and b. And a 3-2 shift pwn. And a force motor

95 valve body has 1 tcc own solenoid 1 3-2 solenoid own force motors and the a and b solenoid

I have the correct valve body. Correct amount of solenoids but my tcc solenoid is a on off. Not a pwm. Ohmed out at 22. Pwm ohmes out at 10-14

Will purchase correct solenoid and will let u know

I'm still not sure how it's supposed to work. The PWM models don't have a DIFFERENT TCC solenoid, they have an ADDITIONAL solenoid. The first one (connector pin T) is the same on either, to turn the lockup and on off. The second (connector pin U) is only used during soft clutch engagement. Is there a dummy resistor connected to pin U to fake the PCM out and not notice the missing solenoid? Any chance the EPC solenoid is different between the years?

Maybe you'll get lucky and Ducato will come in with some help.

Besaides these issues your dealing with of 93 Valve body in 95 PWM TCC... the TC is also differant you know? The clutches are much better to take the slip as the PWM solinoid pulses. It's a smoother lock up. But will smoke a pre 95 TC... I'm wondering if that is your noise?

When I tune 95 and up PWM TCC I actually tighten it up for a firmer/less slip shift. It's been tested many years ago and results in the 95+ TCC lasting forever and reducing trans temps from less slip.

Have you pulled the pan to see how much disc material is in pan/filter?
