im building a 4l80e for my 90 blazer im looking for suggestions on a controller. i have the stick shift valve body kit but im looking for electronic control. i havnt delt with any stand alone controllers and tell you the truth they make me nervous. i really would like to find a 5.7/4l80e pcm and engine/trans harness hint hint. also lookin for the longer rv output shaft.

The PCM is the 16147060. You would need a wire harness for it as well.

i know its been a while but im finaly building my 4l80e. today i ordered a trans controller from becontrols anyone out there runing this setup would be interested in reviews.

My 4l80e is still just a gutted core for mock up right now... Let me know how the one from becontrols works out.

yeah it better work great. the guy at becontrols talked that thing up like it was pure gold. he gaurentees no problems with the controler and then advised me that if there were any problems it was because i wired it wrong. at least he knocked off 50 dollas for puchasing it through my trans shop.

I just finished swapping a 4L80E from a '91 V2500 donor into my '90 V2500, using the '91 harness and pcm. Let me know if anything from my experience could be helpful.

The 241's were identical (from a TH400 or 4L80E), so I just used the original because it didn't leak.

im gunna run my 241 until i can save money up to finish my doubler. maybe this year ord will throw the doubler kit on sale for x-mas. you think i can talk you into taking a measurement from bellhousing to t case output shaft for me?

Got my shift kit installed tonight. It's been a while since I've done a 4l80e and transgo updated their kit it's now super easy to install. Just some endplay to set and trans can get installed. As for the trans control fukt again it won't show up until next week.

even being a trans tech u never think about the stupid sh!t. i got my 4l80e installed today and failed to realize that i needed to change the input shaft on my 241. anyway got it swapped out and relocated the cross member, shifter bracket, cooler lines and t case shift lever. now all i need is my damn trans controller and a longer front driveshaft

well got the becontrols hooked up but their program fukn suks. it locks up so much that i cant even get a load a program onto the controler all i can say is real fukn neat

yeah i called they are really no help at all i spent all day fukn around with them and had family **** to do tonight so no progress to report. my comp is vista bu so is my gf's and it works great on hers so tomorrow ill try to flash the tcs keepin my fingures crossed

That sucks... Have you called them yet? What type of PC are you using?
just wanted to say that trans controller is pretty bitchen once you get it to work. i got a soft 2-3 but i think i need to drill the seperator plate bigger. i need to get my line pressure guage installed and road test it more to check and make sure its controlling the pressure proporly. got my 64s installed today so i can actually drive this thing.

I don't know if anyone will know but the only problem I got with my 4l80 is the shifter assy. I think the column shifter for the700r4 has a diffrent through that the 80. I know the newer trucks swing from left to right on the bottom and the one on my blazer swings top to bottom on the right. Anyone know if a 91+ column from a truck will fit in a blazer

Thanks for the update. I thought you could control the line pressure and shifting characteristics with the software?

I am really leaning towards this controller for my Cad 500 4l80 build.

you can control the pressure curve with the controller but there isnt a pressure transducer in a 4l80e so the only way to phisicaly watch pressure is to install a guage.
