4l80e suggestions?

My '90 TH400 and the '91 4L80E 3/4 ton Suburbans both have the same ("top to bottom on the right" as you said) piece attached to the column.

However, the long rod that runs from the column lever down to the arm at the trans is a little bit different, with some different angles.

But here's the one that stumped me for a while. The little u-shaped piece that bolts directly onto the trans shift input shaft is not the same. The bolt hole that is "square" on two sides is angled differently such that the long rod would bind when I used the TH400 one on my 4L80E. When I swapped that, everything worked great.

I hope that helps,

Tommy

Yea I got the small one with a hole in the center and the long one with the hole outside of slot neither work very good

Can I get an update on the controller you are using? Liking it any better?

Thanks

worth every penny. may not have all the features that the other ones do but it does exaclty what its supposed to do. only adjustment i had to make was the factory setting on the 4l80 program had my line pressure running about 120 psi at idle dropped it down to 70 psi and shifts like a dream. and get the harness worth every penny. was a little nervous about controller combined with the transgo 4l80e hd2 but they work great together. had to use a floor shifter to get my detents right.
