I'm looking to beef up my transmission and transfer case. I already purchased a 4l80E and controller, but instead of purchasing a new input shaft and adapter for my NP 208 i figure I may as well just purchase a np205 with a 32 spline input shaft. My only real question is what do I need to make it happen? Obviously I need a a th400/np205 adapter. But do I need a different cross member? Right now I have the stock cross member that came with my 208. Pretty sure its a one hump.

You were right, that did keep me busy for quite a while. So much so that I decided to make it easier for the next guy by compiling a pic to break it all down. This chart was also posted in the Garage Thread above.

Let me know if there are any problems. I haven't tested any of this is just based on what I read here and phone calls to vendors--sorry about the typo's.
