4l80E with 1993 diesel PCM

I thought about going with an aftermarket computer on my 4L80 but I think I may go Manual Valve Body instead and get rid of all computer functions except the locking toque converter which you can control manually with a switch.

front sensor is a 40 count per rev sames as the transfer case but its turbine speed measurement 0pps my bad. and as for all the rest dunno i dont have anti lock brakes nor electronic speedo. do have cruise control via drac pain in the butt part. my truck is 75 short bed tunned port, 4l80e. and no expert as explained before just tried to give the guy who needs a couple hundered buck ess a avenue for a cheaper way to go penny saved swamper earned. and its a balance act to make all this gizmotronic retrofit moon rock crawler working together so i dont get a fault light and lose torque converter lockup.as well as upshifts and down shifts and yes if all the parts dont work within spec its rough bone bustin shifts and then its scanner time again. im a diffrent kina guy anyhow i still go to radio shack to get a diode or resistor for my next twist on this thing. and as my hero tim the tool man tailor said"if you did'nt build its not really yours". and my hats off to you guys who post here its made my project work better this is my second post and keep up the awesome chatter we will conquer the 4l80e retrofits. and im pretty darn sure retro is not for everyone. but there are plug and pray shift boxes n harness kits to make it fast and maybe easy but!!!!!!!and im workin on installing flash memory in the 609 pcm to twist the shift points. with rendering alt pully size and speedo drive im still off the sweet spot but wot is bout 3800 not teriffic but acceptable for now.and it does it without a fault light flickering.its 4x4 not top fuel lol and will post when its done.and its gonna be a while. have fun.... oh yeah and on the 4x4 pcm calculations and the 4x4 indicator light dunno been around the block on the pavement and down the freeway. tweekin and all seemed well. excellent point bet its gonna set a fault light. arrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrughh!!! deal with that later. any way its back on stands buildin trailin arms for a bag suspension i prolly posted to early for what i've found but hope it helped somebody. prolly could of said all that in just a couple lines but end of rant have fun....here we go again as for schematic wire it for the 93 internal harness its a spot diff than the 91 92 if you need the internal harness "oregon transmission parts best deal' buy the service guy at your local gm dealer lunch he can print you a schematic for the 93 . prior are only to be found in the books and to buy the books hummmm wouldnt you rather buy some swampers. and as for the fully manual setup notta baby!!!!!! buildin a desert racer yeah baby!!!!!!!!!and thats the end! now i pray to the gods of combustion as i get horizontal

I know this thread is extremely old. I just did this swap and have a couple of questions. Namely my transmission and wiring etc came from a 93 truck. The trans did not have the bolt on wiring harness. It had been upgraded, and it also had a tag that read 151-97 for the date. The PCM number is right and it does shift correctly, I think it could shift harder. Im going to pull the pan and look at the pressure solenoid. How do I tell if I have the correct one? I almost believe that the transmission is a AC Delco reman from 1997 and possibly they updated the truck? Will the Calpak chip in the PCM have a update number/date? I would then need to match that up to the corresponding pressure solenoid?
