i have a 74 k20 with a 350/th350/205 and D60/Corp. 14 curently with 4.56's with 38.5 bogs. im puting in a e locker up front and puting 39.5 tsl's on. so i figured im that far might as well put some lower gears in it since its not going to be a daily driver anymore. so whats your input?

If I were you, I count on the 5.13's. I know there's a lot of talk about 5.38's for the 14 bolt but I don't think anyone actually has any for sale nor do they have an expected release date.

That said, if 5.38's suddenly appear I would go with them. :thumb:

5.38s should be available by fall from the vendors I've talked to. I'll be running 5.13s till the 5.38s are out.

you can "buy" 5.38s on ebay, but they arent ready...so i duno how that works. just get the 5.13s

yea the 5.38s available on eBay are just pre-orders for when the vendors get them.

I'm not exactly sure but from the comparison shots I've seen the 5.13s and 5.38s are the same thickness

There's really not much difference in the gear ratio effect between a 5.13 and 5.38.

If the 5.38 ratio was actually available and a comparable price to the 5.13 I would go that route, but if I already had 5.13's installed there is no way I would change to 5.38's..............I honestly doubt you would be able to tell much if any difference between the two.
