I'm doing a 5.3 swap into my 86 K5 Blazer. I'm confused on how to hook up the vacuum on my brake booster to the engine. I don't see an easily availabe (or any) manifold vacuum port to use. Is this even possible? What have you guys seen before? I'd rather not upgrade my booster if I don't have to, but...

top of intake back side driverside there is a port thats pluged or has nipple on it. ( unless broken off )

its a quick clip in / out item .

if you have the plug i would swap you . as i have the nipple and want the plug as i am doing hydro boost.

There are also smaller nipples to for other things like it you want to run a TH350. You would need to unplug a smaller one for the modulator. I know the truck intakes are like this but I'm not sure about the car intakes.

Okay. I found the nipple for the brake vacuum. Do you have any suggestions for how to provide vacuum for other things like my air conditioning/heater vent actuator?

under the engine cover there is some nipples that are on the intake factory capped off. just need to open them up and add the hoses.

there like big plugs in the top of the runners but some have the barb on them and are capped.

Well hell... this engine is fighting me every step of the way. It looks like somewhere along the way the nipple was bumped and broken off. Any ideas how to add a nipple back to this vacuum location?

It should be removable, although you probably have to get a replacement nipple from the dealer. You could also keep an eye on Craigslist, I know by me truck intakes are for sale regularly pretty cheap.

glued in if I recall .

could pull intake and drill hole and tap to pipe 1/8th thread .

or go over on ls1tech.com and post a wanted ad for truck intake . tons of traffic over there .

Welp, I just went down to the local Chevy dealership and bought this shiny new brake booster vacuum adapter for $8.11. Ain't she purdy? I've never left the dealership and spent that little money.
