52\" front spring guys

What are you running for leaves? Which ones did you remove if any?

What are your shackle lengths on center? 7"? 7.25"?

Any tricks to flipping around the front spring hangers?

Re: 52\" front spring guys

I only removed the overload. No need to remove any others. My shackles are 7.25 on center. no real trick... just remove the rivets and move them to the forward holes.

Re: 52\" front spring guys

Stock 4+ overloads for me.

7.25" Shackle

Only trick I can think of is using the plasma butter the cut the heads off the rivets.

Wow, those pictures are awesome. Thanks.

How much lift did it net you? I'm aiming for 4-5".

What did you use for bushings, sleeves, and bolts? The stock 7/16" front stuff looks way too girly and the stock rear stuff might be marginal too or what?

It looks like you can take the front hangers and flip frame rails so your core support stays in the original spot. Have you noticed the same thing?

Micah, i'm looking at the same setup for my rig, how is your pinion angle?

You don't move the core support. Just the little L piece behind the core support mount. Just move it in front of the core support mount, or I took a piece of angle iron and used that instead.

Right around 5"+ of lift with the 7.25" shackles.

It has the stock bushings, sleeves and bolts for the time being. One of these days I might put somethin bigger in there. Just gotta get motivated.

As for the core support thing... What Poohbair said. /forums/images/graemlins/pimp1.gif

Re: 52\" front spring guys

I had 56's and pulled 2 out, to leave me with 6 springs. It was a 1 ton pack so pretty hefty.

I was chattin with a spring shop, and he said the only thing to be concerned about when pulling the overload is that the reamining spring (the last one) isnt all that short and will do sorta a shitty job supporting, and *may* eventually get stressed.

Time will tell.

My pinion angle is fine... just be sure to move the shackle point forward to match your longer shackle...

Re: 52\" front spring guys

Got any measurements for that?

How much wheel travel did you end up with?

Re: 52\" front spring guys

Y'all are hilarious, I need to do a write up on that.

Baddog's idea, I did it first, and now everyone copies.

I LOVE IT!! /forums/images/graemlins/thumb.gif
