I was impressed for stock rear shock mounts, myself.

you've got a little more wheelbase but wow sorry not impressive to me. I guess its respectable. If I scored like that I'd be searching for more flex /forums/images/graemlins/wink.gif

I'm not searching, it's well within the works, trust me.

I was impressed for what it is though, isn't squat done to it.

Time for some longer rear shackles, some new rear shock mounts, softer front springs, and of course, a lighter weight front bumper.

Of course I out flexed every fullsize Chevy there so I was impressed myself. /forums/images/graemlins/thumb.gif

Actually there is on on each side not too far from the rear, damn pipes. /forums/images/graemlins/rotfl.gif

Something to shoot for. The suspension isn't maxed out yet either. This rig is purpose built though and its purpose is a little different then yours.

looks like an AK-57 setup. Aka Marv Springer suspension.

I don't know how you can see that, my screen must be much darker than yours. /forums/images/graemlins/thinking.gif

see the white above the shackle? thats the sticker on the side of the drop away arm.

It isn't my truck, its a guy I run withs from here. It runs a Springer Rear (pre AK57) built by Springer, and it runs a hybrid Jeep spring front.

The hybrid Jeep springs in this rig wouldn't work as well on a 2nd gen truck because 2nd trucks came with longer springs then the 1st gens like this one did. It is as flexy of a rig with leaf springs as I have ever seen.

I'd lose the echobit flip, or switch to some longer shackles and 57" fords or 56s. That will certainly help flex.

Shocks are stopping the rear right now anyway.

I was thinking homebrew shackle flip that I was gonna do before I even got the Echobit flip. How about a stock 2wd hanger in my choice of locations, along with a JC Whitney lowering shackle? /forums/images/graemlins/deal.gif Maybe I'll do some different springs at the same time.

homebrew with 2wd mounts and JC lowering shackle is whats on the rear of my K5 right now. Shackle angle is decent and its definetally high enough for you. I actually need to drop it back down a bit. The shackles have the factory hole location and the longer location, gonna cut out some of my reinforcing nad drop back down. Will give me a better shackle angle too.
