57 Pontiac "Zero Fox"

As much as I love the Ansen Sprint style wheel I got another idea for a more aggressive look.

Both are from rocket wheel.
I like those wagon wheel looking fronts, they are cool.

Holley owns Rocket and they did a good job of shipping to you in Canada for me with some of the trans parts. They offer these both in polished as well I believe if you don't like the cast.

Or I'll go pound sand and you get whatever wheel you want, ha ha.

I can get some premade housings in a few fixed widths, or a weld your own. But even the fixed width ones need the spring perches welded on.

I would recommend Strange Engineering if you want a bolt in rearend assembly for this machine. I can get their stuff, but not direct, and not custom. They do built to spec for you. You might want to just call them directly.

BTW, does a gasser class require a solid front axle, or just a raised front end? I would not put one of those solid axles in it for handling reasons, but if you like that look and want to run that class then who cares.

I have this in my "list" at Speedway. I haven't found better value out there...

As for the front end, a straight axle is not required, even the nose high stance is not required, just encouraged. I think I'll likely use some QA1 coilovers up front with the A arm suspension, and adjust the front end up an inch for the event. I saw the Gassers in B/Gas at Drag Week were pretty tame. I don't want a cartoon car.

I don't mind those at all, and I like they are less often used. I think they would pass as far as looking period correct enough for B/Gas.

I think if I were you I would upgrade to 35 spline since you are buying everything anyway.

I can't get speedway, my distributor also owns "Allstar", which sells completed housings but not complete kits.

I would call strange and see what they recommend and compare that to the speedway one you linked.

With a manual trans I think I would definitely want the 35 spline, even if its just piece of mind.

No polish. Cast finish. Meaner looking.

Thats why I like them. Not everyone has them. Period correct for sure.

Yep, be original

Man I can’t believe I’m typing this, but the shoebox ford kinda looks cooler than the two lane blacktop clone. Probably for the fact you NEVER see gasser Fords.

The two lane blacktop car is a cool movie car, but to me it’s because they cleaned it up and made it shiny for American Graffiti as Falfa’s car.

But building your own movie car is so overdone. I’ve lost count at how many yellow 5 window deuce coupes and general lee Chargers I’ve seen at shows.

The current path of the Pontiolet Cheviac is on a bitchin course. It’s no belly button, everyone has one kind of car.
