57\'s or 63\'s

Just curious of the strength differences. I know the 57's have a bad rep of giving in to axle wrap and I think I saw something before about the 63's but I can't find it. Around here the 63's are much easier to find and cheaper. I have a 454 and have been known to have a heavy foot at times /forums/images/graemlins/whistling.gif so the axle wrap could be an issue

use a 3/4ton 56" pack... or if you think that will be too stiff, do like I'm doing...
I'm using the top two leaves out a 56" pack on my 52" pack /forums/images/graemlins/waytogo.gif

you can see I had to shorten on of the 52" pack leaves

This should move the back 3.5" because I flipped the top leaves around on the pack

(the gaps should go away when the trucks wieght is sitting on the spring, I'm still debating turning the leafs back around so the axle is in the same location but that would cause alot of axle steer during droop I would think /forums/images/graemlins/thinking.gif With the axle further back when it goes into droop it should drop and come forward a little /forums/images/graemlins/dunno.gif I guess I could always redrill the center pin location /forums/images/graemlins/smirk.gif)

Yellow marks on the leaf shows the center pin location
new 56" leaves and the old 52" top leaf

if you have guessed it by now the 56" leaves are from CALI and the 52" warped leav is off my silver truck, the other springs there I torched off a pickup frame I got

My echobit flip and bushings should be here in about 2 weeks /forums/images/graemlins/woot.gif
I will let you how it goes /forums/images/graemlins/waytogo.gif
