5spd 700R4

Looks like his story is getting more and more realistic the more he gets criticized. Might be he's stupid and a liar or might be he's just dumb and thinks the TC is 5th or doesn't know how to properly use a gear splitter as mentioned above.


I've seen posts on another forum for CUCV's where guys thought they had a 4 speed auto trans...TH400's were in all CUCV's. Yep, the TC locking up...
 
Hey, all 700R4s have 5 speeds...4 forward and 1 reverse. :rolleyes:

um...... when did TH400's get lockup converters??:dunno:?? i want one!!
 
He put a gear vendors on the back of an overdrive tranny??? Its either BS or he's really dumb. Not sure it would even fit
 
Ok I'm the dummy. It fits and GV claims its great. 1750 rpm is 91mph with 33 inch tires. 1500 is 78 mph. This sounds like he's running about 1300~1400rpm to do about 65.

that crossed my mind the other day when I first read this thread, lol. I was thinking to myself....hmm maybe this guy is dense enough to consider reverse a fifth gear...:haha::haha:

Does he have a really low gearset? A 700R4 with a Gear Vendors OD sounds pretty extreme. But if he had the low gear set and OD x 2, his crawl ratio would be good and his highway rpms ideal :thinking:. Did this guy stumble onto something here? Or am I missing something?
