Also since it has the 58x reluctor wheel on the crank, it will give you the option to go with the 6l90e.. instant nocturnal emissions.

I wanna see a 6L90E installed in a K5, has anybody done it? Is there an aftermarket controller than can run the 6L90E?

with the ly6, swap in a cam and tune, and thats a 50hp jump atleast. I have seen people pull 80hp from a cam/tune. long tube headers with tune is pb another 25hp.

just saying, these motors are powerhouse motors.

Well I was playing with my desktop dyno a few months ago and was getting some swell numbers from my 406 build (IIRC 425HP and 475-500TQ all low end power). I found a set of afr 1036 heads for $900 and I think they would kick ass on a 406 but I don't know. I've got alot of numbers to crunch! Thanks for the good info though!
