I have seen the converter posted before but all the pictures have since stopped working. So I want to use the engine speed sensor used in mechanical 6.5s with a 4l80 to drive a stock gasser tach. The ess creates the right 4 pluses per rev but the signal is a saw tooth or something. Any one know or remember anything?

I made that drawing like 6 or 7 years ago. I dunno if anyone actually successfully made one or not. I never did. In theory it should work fine though haha!
 
My EE buddy thinks a op amp would be better, I just want it to work. He ran it through a simulation and it would create a square wave occelating between 0 and battery voltage. Thanks again
 
That's what you'd want! Yes, an op-amp would definitely be a better choice but I'm not sure how to configure one to do what I'd want. I'm just a lowly instrumentation mechanic, not a fancy EE haha!
 
Meh, they are always doing horrible control shit, not anything useful. Thus why I went ME.
