New to the site. Blew up a 350 in my 1970 Blazer so I bought an 84 with a 6.2 diesel as a donor. I'm going to need some help doing the swap. Anybody know somebody qualified that wants to make a little cash?

Should be pretty straight forward! Basically a bolt in swap for these old trucks, same engine mounts, same transmission bellhousing bolt pattern. You'll want to put a big block radiator into your Blazer and you'll need to add an oil cooler but otherwise there won't be much to it.

^^What he said. The wiring is going to be a little different, but on these old mechanical diesels all you really have to worry about is the glow plugs and injection pump solenoid. Pretty simple stuff.

You may not be happy with a 6.2 in that high altitude...they are pretty sluggish at sea level!...but swapping one into a truck isn't any harder really, than replacing the gas engine with another one...

I'm not sure, but you may need to look into changing the torque converter. I know I mess a few CUCV military trucks. And everyone says that when you switch out the 6.2 and go to a gasser, You have to change the torque converter. I would assume its the same the other way around!
