the engines are tempting, and a great price, but i have nothing to put them in, and no where to store them until i do :(

Ive been wanting to put a turbo'd 6.2 in front of an NV3500 and drop it into a chevy II with 2.73 rear gears and see what kind of performance/mileage it would put out. just not gonna happen right now.

meh, patAEto patAHto, either is just as good in that application, and the NV3500 would be a few hundred less. the NV3500 has held up in a 5200lbs rig, a 3000lbs two door coupe should be a walk in the park.

It's a truck trans and if I remember correctly a bit more lower geared. Seems like a T5 would be the better choice if you were building a racing vehicle.

6.2L and racing vehicle are kinda mutually exclusive dont you think??? :wink1:

if anything it would just be a cool cruiser that i could drive up to NY and such without bending over and taking it in the rear for the cost of the trip. IF... and its a big if, i could hit 40mpg with it, i think it would be way cooler to cruise around in an old chevy II or 65 chevelle instead of my 2000 jetta, even if it only gets about 2/3 the mileage. Especially if im taking a trip to go visit some pretty ladies :D. but there is no way id be driving one of those with a gas engine getting 12-20mpg on the highway. hell my truck can do 20+ on the highway.

I've 'heard' they are thicker, dont know if its true or not, as everyone I know or have paid attention to their diff covers have had cucv axles.
