6.2 Thermostat/ Temp Gauge

Forgot about good ol LMC, thanks for that. $800+ to have a tach and a precise temp gauge is a little rich for my blood. Back to the the junkyard. The guys down there are getting to know at least.
 
I also never trust the factory gauges and usually just add the trusty 3 gauge pod to mine. My oil pressure gauge usually is just pegged to 80 and the other day was working. The previous owner had already installed a mechanical temp gauge also. I would just put one in yours and move on from there. If still over heating could be a trapped air pocket but sounds like it isn't.
