6.2 What's it good for? Just about everything.

I cannot help myself. Every time I see a photo of the P400's main girdle, I mentally reshuffle all plans and scheme to have that long block in my life. Let five minutes pass, and I'm back to reality.

WANT.

David

No kidding. I have been scheming for many moons to pick one up. Unfortunately my scheming has not led too much lol

As much as I would like a P400 , you can buy a decent D-max or Cummins truck for that much money
Folks around here think the d-max is made out of gold. I did a quick search and could only find 3 under $11k.

Dont get me wrong I love my little basterds I just would never spend that kind of money on one , Optimizers are pretty cheap when you can get them from the .GOV auctions .

And eventually the P400's will come through the auctions as well and when that happens........;)

You could get a fairly decent hundred-someodd thousand mile 12 valve Cummins for that, with an equally decent truck around it for $7300, But that't not even going to think about touching a running Duramax around here, The only sub-10K Duramaxes around here are either beat beyond belief, Have over 500K miles, or have some kind of major mechanical problem.

Dmaxes are cheap here , no one wants them . You can get typically get an ex slope truck with under 100,000 miles ( but with high hours ) for 3500-5000 depending on how beat up the truck is .

Normal non work trucks bring a little bit more , but still under 8k for a LB7.

Same can be said about 7.3 and 6.0 fords no one wants them so they can be had super cheap , I bought a really nice 2005 XLT excusrion with a 6.0 for 2800.00 at the Ritchie bros. auction in Wasilla .

Cummins trucks seem to hold value, especially the manuals . Clean 5-speed 12-valves go for 10-11,000 regardless of mileage . Common Rail trucks bring stupid money, I was looking for a nice 2004.5-2007 5.9 , and ended up buying my 2012 6.7 brand new for the same price as decent used 5.9s up here .

Good news is 6.2/6.5 trucks are practically free :)

Thats friggin crazy!! 11k would get you a decent driver up here , I Wonder why they are so expensive down there normally shits way more expensive

Well around here Duramaxes are put on a pedestal higher than just about any other truck. They also get more dumb aftermarket 22" inch wheels and lightbars than just about anything else.
90% of the Duramax owners here seem to think they have the best truck ever put on the face of the Earth.

Here's another one, this one doesn't need anything, 04 LLY CCSB 4x4, 206,000 miles, $20,000.
