I never doubted what it can do on rocks... it's just hill climbs and mud where I'm a little unsure. A 350 can tow just as well with more versatility IMHO. Now a 6.5 turbo is a different story when it comes to hauling.
I would join but I'm still working out the FI on it. Not only that but I'm unemployed and can barely keep the power on right now.

I need some input. I have the opportunity to pick up a 6.5 turbo diesel engine out of a 93 that has under 200,000 miles on it. It was run dry and will need from what he said possibly the crank and pistons to be replaced along with what ever is normal to rebuild a 6.5.
1. What would one expect to pay for said 6.5 with turbo with all the wiring guages and etc?
2. What should I expect to have to pay to get the 6.5 rebuilt?
3. What parts do I need to pull from the 93 truck? Wiring, guages etc?
