$600 Suburban

I don't think I did too bad for buying a '87 Silverado K5 Blazer for $800,...with the tranny shot,..I replaced it with another 700r4 for $450,..

The kid blew out a u-joint in his driver's side front axle shaft in his 1984 Suburban and broke the yokes. I felt bad, so I gave him a shaft out of an '82 10 bolt I had sitting around. Now I feel a little better about the deal.

Now I own that one as well.

My old man bought a '75 K5,for $600, back when...

Had all kinds of cool crap, that the seller just wasn't aware of.
Good deal, dude!

bought a 87 short box half ton with 4" lift and 35" tires for $700 that wouldnt start. i twisted the battery terminal and it fired right up. man was his wife pissed.

Drove it down to Lincoln. I'm heading home with it now. Goes down the road nice. Would be better with the TH700R4, but then I wouldn't own it.

Maybe you should drive here and show it me.
I am sitting here in Aurora, NE:D

I could have gone through Aurora and turned North onto 14 had I known.

I blew up the factory ten bolt rear, so I took the one out of the $450 diesel Suburban and swapped it in here last fall. Maybe summer? I don't really remember.

Fast forward to last Saturday night, and when I got to town, it was smoking from the right rear, real bad. Wheel seal went out and took the bearing with it. Drove it back home that night. Wasn't sure if it would make it, but it did. Then this morning I dug an axle shaft and a backing plate out of my iron pile, and drove it to Lindsay. Put two new axle bearings and deals in it, along with new brake shoes, wheel cylinders, and hardware kits. I honestly felt a little guilty sinking money into half ton axles.....
