I had one in a 78 c20. 3.21:1. Had the crappy olds diesel in it. Needed the gearing to run on the freeway at speed.

IIRC it was a 30 with a diesel.
nice, years ago i bought a suburban out of a impound yard. guy said he forgot it was even there and got it for $200 which was about the scrap value at the time around 2004 i think. ended up having a 400ci and th400 under it, both which i still use to this day
also back then i too used to buy every k5/burb i ran across. stripped down the beaters for parts and have a pile of spare parts laying around. never have to go to the junkyard
