6000 header threads and still cant find an answer!

Stainless.

No question. There might be some coatings that hold up better than others, but they are still coatings, exposed to ~1200* and potential rapid cooling all the time. I've seen jet-hot fail, others have had good luck with various coatings, but I'm not a fan. Dropping a wrench on them, trying to access plugs, scratching is a reality as far as I'm concerned.

My Hedman Elites are rusting towards the collectors where there shouldn't be as much heat, but rapid cooling is much more likely from puddles etc. We don't use salt.

Yes, the stainless ones are ~$700, but there should be no worries about them ever failing. Those will be what I buy, when there is an option other than coatings, I'll take it.

old and new.

Can't think of a reason not to run the more compact version, certainly solves the shackle problem for everyone!

The fit around the oil filter/collector was very impressive. I thought it wasnt going to clear at first. After mock up to make sure everything cleared I stripped them down and sprayed them with vht hi temp paint. Have to let it sit for 7 days then "cure" in the oven.

When you see how well they clear everything, it makes you wonder why more headers aren't made like these. :dunno:
