i did the search but couldnt find any writeups on the swap. i just got a pair of 63's today at pick-n-pull. they are super soft...i can tell just by jumping on them compared to the 52s. so, i need to see a write up on the swap if there is one...thanks

several members have done it! cybersniper and kidjethro come to mind first. they both have blazer chassis. i did it on a k10 longbed frame but not sure that will help if you are doing the k5 stuff. what do you need to know? :D

all you have to do is move your front spring hangers foward and adjust your rear hangers accordingly. it's real simple to do. my front mounts are under my body mounts and did a shackle flip on the rear. i look and see if i have some pics.

ya, thanks...i will be keeping the axle centerd in the wheel well for the most part...the departure angle is great on that truck but i dont like the look of the tires being outside of the fender well. thanks for the link...

Like he said, he put his gas tank basically up into the bed of the blazer, IIRC he was able to run his backseat fine though

You might take a look at running a longer shackle with it also, the longer spring will appreciate some more swing. We have a 6" version just for that purpose.
Knowing that a bit more shackle angle than stock will help you out with a longer shackle, you should probably look at moving the front forward about 5" and the rear back about 6". This should keep the axle pretty well centered and put a bit more angle on the shackle.

ok, what about lift height? right now i have stock 52's with ORD 4" shackle flip and zero rates...on top of a 14bff. i dont want it to sit any higher than it is right now...possible with 6" shackles?
