I don't know, my dad wants to buy it, but it needs a dist and a oil pan and wanted to know how hard they are going to be to find or if they are just common items.

Engine parts for Kharmann Ghia's are the same as VW bug parts! Easy to find!

Yes, it should be a VW 1600 engine.

We have a 69 Karmann Ghia! My Aunt bought it brand new and we still have it. It has over 250,000 miles on it! If I went in the garage and poured a littel gas in the carb it would fire right up!

Yeah its a stock motor, the guy is only asking $200 for the car.

Just an FYI, there is no oil pan on a VW motor. Its a spli case design that is a flat 4.

No oil pan,but you can get a bolt on oil sump from Gene Berg. Holds almost 2 more qtz of oil.
