67-72 dash pics

For which guage is 3-5/8? I'm pretty sure I used the smaller guages like you ask. I posted a thread with some pics of them.

Edit: nevermind, I had to re-read the whole thread.

If you look real close to the picture of the backside of the cluster I did there is a piece of sheet metal that covers the original tach hole and also covers the turn indicator holes. I simply cut a hole in the sheet metal piece before screwing it to the bezel, I also drilled holes for LEDs for the turn indicators and a hole just above the center gauge for a high beam LED. LEDs and holders were bought from radio shack, make sure to use resistors for the LEDS because they are 3 volt. I used about 900 ohm for the turn indicators and 2.2k for the high beam indicator.

I'm getting ready to pull the trigger on new gauges for my blazer too. I'm looking at the autometer pro comp series.

I'm thinking with my yellow paint that should look pretty good.

I'll be buying a 5" tach and speedo to place in the large openings and 2-5/8" oil pressure, volt meter, temp, and fuel level gauges for the 4 smaller holes along the bottom.

I wanted to put the fuel gauge in the top middle but it only comes in the 2-5/8" size now so I decided to scrap that idea. I think I'm going to mount the check engine and high beam lights in that spot instead.

Any thoughts?

Why not keep the fuel gauge in the stock location and put a tach in the center? The sportcomp comes in that size. It's worked out well on mine.

I actually don't like the tach in the center. I have a tilt steering column and where I position the steering wheel it blocks the center position nicely.
It won't be a big deal to have to peer over it to check the fuel level but trying to watch a tach like that is a bummer.
