'67 Truggy rebuild

You should look into one of the Flexalite standalone units from Summit.... they also have their own brand as well. I have one in my buggy and it works great.... the Summit one has a higher BTU and is a bit cheaper.... But they are really simple to install and you can delete all the Shiot on the firewall

More info please :D. Where does it mount?

remote heater

basically the unit is self contained. most are the size of a shoe box. and can be mounted under the dash/ I have mine on the pass side for the wifey, but there is room on the tranny hump area. there are add on plenums to allow use of defrost and to direct the air. if you wanted you could get creative and hook it up to all the factory vent lines.

It comes with a switch for the 3 speed motor, and all you need to do is run the heater hoses from the motor to the back of the unit. I think they are $150.00 or so?? been awhile since I bought mine. I think they are intended for the HEEP owners cause their heaters suck.

lookin good! How much are you going to box?

More progress :D. Finally got a crossmember made and the motor back in place. We have to get it level in the crossmember and weld the brackets into it. I need to get a starter and an intercooler yet and we should have everything to get it together. I'm getting pretty excited but it'll have to come apart again for body work later on this winter or next spring.

Nice man! What kind of deisel is that? Was it pretty easy to swap in? Was it worth it?

Interesting build.... :waytogo:

I have to comment on something that's been bugging me for a while though, and please take this a a constructive comment.

The use of a single-quote as an abbreviation for the full model year is misapplied.

The ' symbol is placed to show where the numbers have been removed.

So 1967 is abbreviated as '67, 2001 Duramax becomes '01 Duramax, etc.

Putting the single quote after the number indicates a unit of measurement (in feet)...so a 67' K10 is a 67-foot long pickup truck!! :yikes: With a truck that long, you could certainly use all the horsepower you can find....

No douchebaggery intended, just trying to help fix a simple punctuation error.

:usaflag:

:haha:My bad. I know that but been a while since I was in school. I'll try to correct it :D.

Some more progress, finally.Got the nv4500/205 installed along with a rear driveshaft that just appened to fit. Have to build new tranny crossmember as this one doesn't fit right.
Going to be picking up a 94' Cummins donor truck hopefully so we can get a 7100 P-Pump and injector lines,as well as the 2nd gen Dodge intercooler and other small parts needed to get it finished up :D.

We will be getting a cummins donor truck to finish up the motor parts we need. Now I just need a rust free radiator support or complete front clip.

what clutch you gonna run with those numbers?

South Bend. Probably the Iron Giant. We'll see if he goes that high on HP. It'd be fun but I'm not sure how streetable it'll be . I know a 500HP D-Max is sure fun but a 700HP one will get out of hand fast. I've been thinking this may be kinda light for that much HP :(.
