'69 Blazer

Welcome....You have to be excited to get that thing for free.

Lot of new 1st Gen's showing up, I like it.:waytogo:

Should we debate about where to put the build thread again? That was fun:haha::doah:

Nice score!

I'll be part of the minority and suggest you convert the core support, fenders and grille to the correct Chevy style parts.... And ditch the GMC stuff.

The 1969 is SO rare compared to the 70-72 models that it deserves to have the correct parts on there. IMHO.

This isn't my first rodeo with a 1st Gen. I had a '72 years ago that I inherited from my Dad. Unfortunately I had to sell it though. My wife knew I always hated doing it, so when this one landed in my lap she didn't even hesitate to tell me "get it, now".

I still miss that one. I had swapped in a 454 and installed a 4" Skyjacker with 35" BFG's. Thinking of the same route with this one.

OH, and it wasn't QUITE free. I essentially paid for the wheels & tires and the guy threw in the truck they were mounted on. Still a hell of a deal, I think.

You have a valid point, Greg. I will seriously consider it.
