69' F250 Highboy "Ford Build"

Cool, good info.

I am contemplating putting the 87 TBI engine from one of my parted out blazers into the 69 F250 just to have something pretty unique.

Hice truck, that is my favorite Ford body style. Tried to talk the wife into one, but she wouldn't hear it. She had to have a '79 Bronco.

I always thought they were Highboys because they appear to have a 4" lift from the factory compared to the 1/2 tons. Not all 3/4 tons sat that high either. It may just be the 78-79's that don't, but I have seen the 73-79 body styles in 3/4 ton both ways. I have a good friend that has a '76 Highboy & it clears 38's stock. Mid 70's had external locking hubs, I would have thought your truck should have the same Crypt. They are some of the best looking lockouts IMO.

I had a friend back in Reno that had a 74 Highboy that same color back in 1994. I loved that truck. I tried to buy it from him a time or two but he got rid of it when the 360 blew. :doah:

Am I missing the power steering?

Correct, no power steering and no power breaks. I put breaks on it a while back because it was just to much to worry about. Power steering is next, these 38's are just to much lol I'd like the wife to be able to drive it too. I always tell everyone you don't drive this truck you operate it.:D

Had some fun with photo editing a while back on my new phone

Decided to ****can the factory A/C unit, and living in cali I don't have much need for it all I need is the Windows cracked for those hot days. I'm getting a used rebuildable heater only unit from a fella on another forum next week, and plans are just a simple rebuild an clean up an get some heat in this thing so I drive it to work at 2am:rolleyes:

As you can imagine it's big an ugly in the cab so it had to go. That and I didn't have any of the engine compartment parts so it's a no loss situation :D
Injoy guys, I trying to keep old iron up on these roads

When you're done how about some help on project 142 in my life? My mom learned to drive a manual in this old girl. Spent its life in Pueblo CO until the mid 90's then it made the trek of death to its current home in the Midwest.
