I’m waiting for parts for my 69 so I started working on my old 1976 Mongoose BMX. Got it for my birthday when I turned 12...Put a lot of miles on this bike.

Yep, I still have many things from growing up...among them is my RM 100 that my daughter then son helped wear out after me & my brothers were done with it. My gear head definitely stretches beyond the race cars & 4x4s, I guess

Looks good so far.....I had family that lived in Pollock Pines while growing up...Love that area!

Today I pulled out all my various lengths driveshafts, cut one down to 37 inches & welded the 1310 weld yoke back on.
I didn’t put in the U-Joint yet (I didn’t feel like driving into town today) but the angle just holding it in place is right at 20°

I’m using a 14 bolt SF 9.5” with a 1350 yoke, a 1350 to 1310 u-joint between the axle & driveshaft at one end. The other end goes to a 1310 yoke on the 205 TC. I Need to pick up a 1310 u-joint tomorrow...

My Question...

Does 20° Seem too far off ? or is that close to where it should be with a U-Joint to U-Joint connection?
I can replace the yoke on the 205 with a flanged Double Cardan joint. I have one in the garage from an old project I worked on awhile ago.

Maybe that’s a better idea, I’ve never used one on the back output of a TC before but I’m going to use one on the front output once I measure & order a front shaft
