70 Chevelle ***PICS***

I cleaned out the inside , and I am pissed at the guy my stepdad bought this from .

Drivers side quarter window is missing its regulator . There is a piece of strap bolted between the glass and body

Well its either do both solid or find another regulator . I am half tempted not to have the quarters roll up and down .....I ain't sitting back there , and its not going to be a concours resto either :dunno:

Its good to be lucky once in awhile . But it came when I have no cash , why can't I win the lottery so I can just pick up a catalogue and become best buds with the UPS guy !!

I need to get an engine stand and a cherry picker over here so I can at least take the 305 out and slap in the trail truck :D

Dude!
You can make that car into a sweet ride! Good score.
When I was growing up I had a 71, 72 and a 70 Malabu that was
converted into a SS. It originally had the 307 but my buddy that
owned it before me put a 396 into it. It was Bad A$$. Small blocks
are nice but nothing compairs to a BB.
After I blew up the 396,I put the 327 I built into it from my 71.
It had TRW 11.25/1 pistons 30over,rods were shot peened and glass beaded, new rod bolts, crank was turned 30 over, crane cam, MT valve covers, quick change timing cover, hooker headers and so on, and so on.
Oh! and it had a 4 duce mainifold. It was sweet but it still didn't compair to the BB.
I really miss that car but up in the mtn.s it's just not practical to keep it (no garage at the time) so I sold it :frown1: .

Do it up right, it will be worth it. One of these days I will dig up and
scan some old pictures. Maybe you can sell the 350 and use the money
for the metal you need. Get a cowl induction hood/SS even if it doesn't
work, it will look much better.
I wish you the best of luck.
Remember that just like this site saves you $$$$ when building a truck, Chevelle club sites can also save you $$$$.

I paid last week

I don't wanna sell the 350 , that bad boys being put together . The 305 in it isd going into the trail truck , hopefully to make it to BB05 .

I don't wanna clone an SS , I just wanna go Friday night drags and see what happens from there . Make it a halfway decent cruiser , nice paint , clean interior , NO FRILLS , hot motor . That what I want ...... oh and the Cursive script on the decklid that says Chevelle by Chevrolet :D

Oh , and a member of crawlinaz.com , and a friend of mine , says he has the complete disc brakes off a 70's Camaro for me . A little work , but cheaper than the kits :D

Not coming yet , need money . Actually working on hte trail truck first . I figure I can get going wholeheartedly in a few months .

I do start it up everyday and pretend I'm cool ;)

And the guy I am getting the Chevelle disc brakes from , also has headers and pipes from a 70's truck for my trail rig :D

Some slight progress tonight . Passenger window replaced so rain doesn't get in . I now have a 72 Cutlass window in my 70 Chevelle :D

Didn't bother really adjusting it since I need to hang a fender and adjust stuff later anyway .

Collected some more parts for her .

I know have knuckles , spindles , and calipers for my disc conversion :D

I also got headers and pipes for my oither truck form the same guy

Sunday the 305 comes out for good , to go in my other truck , got the cherry picker in the garage , beer in the fridge , and the wife is working Sunday .

Damn truck leaves the garage within a couple months , and I may just start on the Chevelles front end :D
