I am sadly posting my 1970 chevy blazer for a few reasons...new child, no place to work on it, and finances, so here goes. I am putting all things good and bad with the truck on here so bear with me...
The good...307 V8, Fully convertible, Skyjacker Lift, 33" BF Goodrich Mud Terrain tires, had the tranny rebuilt less than 2000 miles ago, had engine overhauled at the same time, transfer case was rebuilt in 2004 and works great, front disc brakes, tuffy box, corbeau seats (a bit rough), custom roll cage, new doors (need adjustment, especially passenger side.), Optima battery, Had some body work done on the real trouble spots-rocker panels, supports. Truck runs great, I have had no issues running long distances with it.
The bad...Gears in front and rear axles need to be matched, cannot be put into four wheel drive until done (Replaced original dana 44 front to get disc brakes instead of drums, and never got around to replacing gears). I still have the 44 assembly, as well as the rear seat, and tire holder. Body has some rust, mostly rear quarter panels, mostly around the doors. The power steering pump or resevoir will need to be replaced, it still works well, just leaks like a sieve. I only have the soft top, and in order to put a hard top on, the roll cage needs to be shortened by about an inch. Passenger door will not open except with force, which really just needs to be adjusted, I just don't know how to do that. The brakes do work well, just occassionally I have to pump them when driving to insure pressure. Most of this stuff is minor, but without a garage I just do not have the space or time to disassemble and work on. I am not ecstatic about selling this truck, it is a riot to drive, and I have had a lot of fun with it, as I am sure anyone interested in it will also. I have posted some pics, and can take more if anyone is seriously interested.
Thanks for your interest,
Jon Nordstrom
