Ok, first off Im trying to mate my 700 to my doubler. I read that all you have to do is use your factory 700 to 208 adapter and drill and tap the holes into the 203. Is that all? Does someone have a pic of this so I can reference it , if no pic then how do I know where to drill. Does something line up with something else.

And second it doesn't look like I will be able to use the triple stick adapter with this setup, I mean the adapter bolts to the factory 203 holes. has anyone over come this issue. Thanks Josh

The easiest method is to use the factory TH350/203 adapter and the teckpak fitzall spacer. The next would be to do as you said and use the factory 700/208 adapter and drill the pattern onto the 203 range box, the best method is to use the Advance Adapters short shaft with the TH350/203 adapter.

I understand all the methods, I want to do the one I stated because I have all the parts. Does anyone have any pics of doing it this way?

Am I wording it wrong or what? 63 views and 1 post. Thanks 4x4HIGH, even though I already knew what you said, atleast you said it.

I would start by laying the 208 adapter on the face of the 203 and orientate the adapter so the mounting point is facing down and the 203 shifter is basically 90* from the mounting point and then drill and tap your pattern. I'm not sure if you can use a transfer punch or not, been a while since i've looked at a 700/208/241 adapter.

I actually have my doubler in the garage and i do have a 700/241 adapter so i can mock it up without much trouble if you need assistance with anything.

Curiosity killed the cat so i went out to the garage to see what needs to be done. If you're looking at the face of the 203 range box and set the 208 adapter on the face of the 203 lining up the top hole you need to rotate the 208 adapter about 1/4" to your left and that will be pretty level as to how the 203 should be installed. It looks like the 208 adapter might need to have the depth and possibly the diameter of the recess machined to fit properly.

Thanks, I'll try that in the morning. I didn't think it would be to hard but you know as soon as you assume that it will blow up in your face. I was just woundering if anyone else had done it this way. I thought there where alot of us doing it this way since most of our stock combos included a 700 to 208. I'm not aginst the other 2 methods but since I have all the parts for this way, why not.

Thanks again

I drilled/tapped my 203 for my doubler behind my th400. drilling and tapping it is pretty easy. I think I found a pic somewhere of it and I think you can reference the top bolt holes in line so you are clocked correctly unless you wanna clock differently but you will generally do that in your doubler adapter... unless you run your 203 on its side or upside down for more clearance

well i ran a 700 with the spacer on my doubler cause i got the spacer for like 30 bucks used...it was super simple..like when we were done that was it??here is a pic

Isn't that the 350 to 203 adapter? My question was for pics of the 700 to 208 adapter redrilled. Has anyone even done this or is it just talked about.

If you need me to take a pic with the 700/208 adapter up against the 203 range box in the position that would be best to be drilled at i can do that when i get home from work today.

If you do that the adaptor is rotated as well so The bolt holes need to be in the same place anyway. Hopefully tRustyk5 will chime in here, I kinda remember him redrilling a stock adaptor for his truck

EDIT: here's a thread I started when I was thinking of doing this as well. Maybe it will help you, http://coloradok5.com/forums/showthread.php?t=213973

I think I am just going to do the 350 adapter with a spacer. I have a good idea where it should go, but there still leaves no room for the triple stick bracket.

Thanks mudder, that did help. I guess that all but confirms the fact that I need the 230 adapter. I just got done putting it togther and I really don't want to take it apart. And I'm damn sure not going to drill and tap it so the shavings will stay in the rangebox. Thanks

I have a 350 to 203 adapter for sale if you need. If you drill/tap just put some grease on your bit/tap and hold a shop vac in front of it while drilling.

i ran a triple stick on mine no problems...what do you mean

Dude, from your pics that you posted earlier, you ran the th350 to np203 adapter with a spacer. So there would be no problem to run the triple stick bracket where ORD wants you to put it.

What I have been asking about and apparently you don't get is how you run the 700 to np208 bracket. I now understand that you need to re drill the holes on the np203 to fit the 208 adapter but there is no room to put the triple stick bracket in without some sort of modify

From the looks of it it doesn't look like it would be too hard to fab a bracket for the triple stick and use the 700/208 adapter. I have triple sticks for my doubler and when i set the 700/208 adapter up last night it looks pretty easy.
