I swapped out a 700R4 for a 350 in an 87 K5.
There was a plug on the left side of the 700.
What does all that go to? Will it effect the engine at all.
I wouldn't think so but ya never know.

It's been awhile since I worked on AT-Electrical.....but I do think that harness was for a few things....1)shift points (one going to the Trans, and one relaying info back to the ECU),and, 2) Converter lock-up signal. Don't quote me on this though, I haven't played with one of these in years......

If if it a little square 4 prong plug, it is the converter lockup signal switch. Basicaly when you step on the brake it tells the TC to unlock so the truck doesn't stall.

Cool That is what I thought it was.
