Hey guys,
I tried searching with out much luck. I have an 87 K5 that i swapped a rebuilt 4L60E in and it keeps cracking input shafts apparently. Figured i may as well swap it for a 4l80E. I have a 241 case now, what am i going to need for a swap? 32 spine input shaft for the transfer case. Will the trans to t case adapter work? Saw the dipstick is different, anyone have a part number? Is the shift linkage in the same spot?
Eventually I'd like to swap a 6.0 in. Just trying to do a little bit at a time, and drive it in between.

Thanks
Tom

The adapter will not work. I had a TH400 adapter machined down because I wanted the "tall" adapter.

The stock 4x4 4l80e adapter is what will work for you. The shifter rod is 4l80e squarebody specific but easy to lengthen your current 700 rod.
You'll need the 32 spline input and wide input bearing.
