I have recently had my 700R4 rebuilt...now I want to install a NP205 to get rid of vibration problems with NP208 slip yoke. After doing research and talking with Advanced Adapters and they say I need to change the ouput shaft on my tranny, buy a coupler adapter, and T350 to NP205 Adapter. This results in my pulling my tranny and essentially a rebuild...way more money than I had anticipated.

Is there another way that is more cost effective and still beafy enough to last? I use my rig for towing and periodic fun...also a daily driver.

Also, who else can provide quality options other than Advanced Adapters?

Your help is greatly appreciated.

Country Man in a concrete jungle...

Thanks.

You need the Teckpak Fitzall spacer (7Q-35A) then use a TH350/205 adapter. You may have to trim a small amount (1/8" or less) from the output shaft.

Isn't a sye kit available for the 208. That's what I did with my 241. Unless your set on a 205, but if its just vib issues I'd go do sye got my mine from jb step by step intructions, did mine right under the truck without pulling my case.

x2 what they said about the spacer

The only aftermarket solution for a 208 is http://www.4xshaft.com/SYE/208TransferCaseGMDesign-32Spline.html
Its pricey, but does include a C/V driveshaft. With a little modification a dodge 208 can work well. The upside to that one is that you can install a stock C/v flange(not sure about Tom Woods') That meant a cheap driveline that is working great for me

my spacer was 50 bucks in a neighbor town, the shipped it to me for free.

ryoken is there anything affecting the floor shifter hole? i cant remember if the shifter was gonna interfere with the center console or not.

it will not fit into the stock location the spacer moves the tcase 2" back more so you will have to modify the tunnel to fit the shifter in and for it to function properly
