700R4 TV cable question. Leaking again!! 700R4 guru's, Updated pics, please help!!

The cable is long. There is a few inches of extra wire after it hooks to the TBI. I put a huge rock on the gas pedal and readjusted it. I dont know if there is some binding, but its real hard you push on the gas pedal. When i unhook the tv cable, its easy to push on the pedal. Might be binding somewhere. Pissing me off.

I readjusted it and added more fluid and that fixed it. I really think it was just low on fluid. I checked it three times. Now i still need to get it smogged.

Motherphucker!!! Come home today and tranny guild is dripping again. Nice size puddle. Crawled under there and it comming from the same spot again, the tv cable hole. WTF? What's going on here. I'm sick of this.

I'm thinking of just using RuffStuff RTV all around that thing.

Any advice? Thanks.

Did you replace the rubber sleeve (I thought O-ring for some reason) that the end of the cable goes into?

On your old cable it was missing a chunk that might have cut into it.

Yes. New cable came with a new one. I cleaned the hole and it looked good. Sealed up tight too. I am dumbfounded!

Jeff just do the right stuff, I had the same problem. Thats stuffs like gawds piss :waytogo::haha:

I know it will work, but id really like to find and correct the problem. Its just hard to visually look at the top of the tranny while it in the burb. I use a little mirror on a a stick deal but its got to be a ten cent fix. Unless the case is cracked.

I found the source of the leak. The cable housing wont seat into the case. Help! What am i doing wrong. What can I do? Thanks!

Are you able to seat it so that it's flush and then it pops out of place? Or are you tightening the screw down while is out of position?

willie

When I installed mine, I didn't think the top of the rubber sleeve was above the lip. I thought it was flush?

Ok, i took it completely off and did it different. I put the rubber sleeve in the hole then seated the cable body. Then screwed it in. Just need to add fluid and see if it leaks. I think i got it though.

Thanks guys.
