700r4 wiring question

The square connector plugs into the transmission. The round can is the vacuum switch and it mounts near the brake booster. The other two connectors plug into another harness running across the firewall. The blue and green wires should match. The transmission power and brake switch and such run through there.

I don't find the exact schematic online, but this diesel one shows you the under-dash and 3-wire harness portion (382, 383, 384). So you should find this blue/green harness coming out from the firewall near the main fuse block connector.

I think I might just run a switch to the tranny so I can lock the converter when I want. That way I know I is working properly and I can clean up the engine bay. Should I run the switch to the ground or to the power?

Would something like this work with my factory tranny?

Many different setups have been hacked together - you can even buy a vehicle speed sensor box that controls lockup. But unless you are converting to an ECU that controls lockup, I always recommend the factory setup.

Just go to a junkyard and pick up this missing harness. They aren't in high demand.
