there may be SLIGHT cab differences between those styles, but you can do it. make sure to have the hood, fenders, rad support, grille obviously...and the little odds and ends from the doner.

right, just remove the whole thing from the other truck, fenders hood core support light ect ect everything from the cab forward and put it on.

The hood mounts differently...Its no big deal though.

On pre 81 trucks blazers etc, the hinges are located on the fenders, the 81+there are inside of the firewall if that makes sense. Putting an old clip on later cab is easy. the other way you have to find a way to make mounts for the hinges.

I mounted an 89 front clip on a 79 blazer everything bolted together except the hood hinges, which is easy enough we just cut out on the firewall with the plasma cutter. i still have the old windshield wipers on it. they work as long as you dont install the filler panel from the hood to windshield. but your doing opposite going to older style front end should be easier. should all bolt together and the hinges mount on the fenders so it shouldnt be a problem. might have to install shorter windshield from older truck, but it might clear the hood. try and see.
