was just curious since almost all the 60's I see are 8 lug.
The wheels I have are most definitely 8 lug.. 8 on 8.5 I think

Appreciate the correction. I spend so much time away from one project or the other that I start forgetting small details or mixing up projects (I have 3 projects going at the same time )

This all reminds me that if I am not mistaken my lug nuts on the Dana 70 rear that I have are a right hand thread on one side and a lefthand thread on the other.
I have been looking at these pics and I think your gonna want to add a cross bar as close to the red lines as possible. With your tranny/TC mounted soilid as they are and with the torque that motor has you will most likely break your trans housing. the Arms coming out to the botom of the motor mounts wont do much for controling the twist that motor can produce. without a bar running across to tie them together one mount will be able to twist down and one up, leaving the middle of the trans housing to take the force. You could still make it removeable to get to the pan by adding boltflanges at the yellow lines.

Good eye, that is the plan for that area, it was just time to see where some things were going end up. Hand made headers coming soon.....

I hope to keep it from being too heavy when it's done, I think the tail gate may have to go, we will see what the scale says when I get it rolling around. I got my tires listed all over the place for sale as this thing needs to be on 42" - 44" tires the way it's coming together (going to look real funny on 39.5's)

I modified the shift gates in my shifter to compliment rock crawling much better than the way it comes from the factory. I know I will wish I had a manual valve body in that transmission, but until then, these mods will help a bunch. The steel this plate is made of must be some kind of Adamantium or something, felt like I was trying to file a bearing race almost.
what will that modification do?

It allows for shifting from any gear directly into reverse or neutral without having to use two hands or deal at all with the reverse lockout lever. I still need to drill and install a roll pin to hold the reverse lever up just a little bit.

Here is question for anyone out there: The 502ramjet has a AN-5 fitting on the fuel regulator for the return line back to the tank, where in the world can I get a AN-5 hose end fitting?

maybe ask zimmer. he just went through a bunch of fuel fittings issues and might be able to point you in the right direction.
Can you take that fitting out and replace it with a -6 AN? If its a real big deal just replace the regulator with an aftermarket EFI one, the system won't care as long as you set the fuel pressure correct for the ramjet tune.
Also, I skimmed through your thread because who doesn't like a Chevy 4x4 with a big block and link suspension! Anyway, every time I saw something that concerned me it was either taken care of already or pointed out before I got to the current state. Nice work.

I've always daydreamed about whether those Ram Jet crates are truly a "plug n play" deal as GMPP claims it is.

I will definitely drop him a message and see what his most recent experiences taught him.
I have noticed a few 502 ramjet builds with the after market fuel reg on the firewall. That is a suggestion that will work for sure. I will take some photos today of connection (after I search through the parts bag and make sure there isn't some additional connector I haven't seen yet)
