I think I'm going to paint my 72 this color.

What do you think?

is that tangelo? looks sharp... in a super chevy a few years back a guy had a shaved 69 SS camaro in that color. looked awesome

I think that it's more of a color for a car or a hot rod but I don't think that is a good color for a Blazer.. It reminds me of that paint DuPont came out with a few years back that changed color depending on what angle you looked at it from.. You know the one that a lot of the ricers used the same ones who had the big wing off of the back :haha:

i think the burnt orange color nissan used in 2002 or 2003 on the xterra would look super good on a 72 k5
not that xterras are hot just the color

It's called pearl, and there's different colors of pearl. That paint in that photo has pearl in it probably.

Well if I ever get my truck back from the paintshop, its getting painted GM sunset orange, which looks orange in the sun and kinda red at night.

Ugh, long story short PPG has been having problems with the clear my painter used, didnt tell him, and when I got it home, the clear started lifting off:mad: :eek1:  So yeh, hes waiting on ppg to do their chemical analysis of it to be sure its their fault, before they cough up and give him $700 in free paint to do it again. :doah:

not sure about the shell/ top yet.

I'm going to run topless as much as possible :D

That color did have some pearl in it, but its a House of Kolor orange candy. High as hell paint. I'm not going to use that kind because of it being over $800+ per gallon. :eek1: :eek1:

Its just the best looking sunset/burnt orange I've seen yet.

Here a few others I've looked at.

Geez, that'll be too nice to even lock the hubs in.I want to spring for a real sharp paint job after I get the new metal on my rig but I'm afraid if I go too nice it won't leave the road. It'll sure be pretty sweet.I never thought much of that particular color till I saw it on that 1st Gen you posted up.

planning on wheelin it too

Yeah,me too.Problem is that I can't really install part A till I have parts B and C so I have a bunch of stuff sitting around.I'm sure I'm not the only one.
