Is that an original GM front grill? You gonna still use it after the narrowing.... :D

yea i'm gonna narrow the front end but keep the grill the same width :eek1: :D yea once i get around to the front end i'll figure out how to narrow it while keeping the headlights, i'm trying my best to keep it as "Blazer looking" as possible.

well started the driver side floor yesterday, roasted a poly body mount :doah: and was a PITA, didn't realize how reinforced it was. :haha:

also got a little surprise from NWF, triple shifters & the lo max pto cover :D

I just bought an almost perfect one from another CK5 member and have my old one which has a nasty dent on one side. If yours is really straight, I'd be interested in giving you my 2 grills + a little cash so you'd have an extra one to practice on when you narrow it. :)

I think I read about one guy cutting out a middle section of the grill and fabbing it back together to fit the narrowed front.

Let me know if you're ever interested.

well, just wondering why you'd change an almost perfect one for mine. mine's ok, the chrome isn't in the best shape, and i already threw some paint on it just to see what it would look like, the bowtie in the middle is broken, has some small dents nothing major, i just wouldn't want to trade you for something that you're going to be unsatisfied with, other than that, i'd be interested in the 2 for 1 deal :D

Yea, that's what I was going to ask. If it's been painted and has some dents, it's probably not what I need. I can put my own dents in it later.

Yo

From the looks of you guys putting the body on, I think I may just round up everyone I know to do mine.

Lookin sick. Keep it up!

I just found this thread today:bow::bow::bow::bow::bow::bow::eek1::eek1::eek1::eek1::eek1::eek1::eek1::bow::bow::bow::bow::bow:

Project is looking AWESOME!! It's getting me motivated to get out and do something with mine.

ok ok. well after being a bum for the past week and a half, i'm finally getting my act back together. i got all my 'cage plates, tabs, etc. from Kert *i'll get pics of these tomorrow*. got my Corbeau seats in with sliders for the driver seat for when the wife wants to drive it. :doah: & started taking the 60 out to replace the upper kingpin bushings & springs, inner seals with a set of MAD4WD seals, slap on the manual hubs & keep the slugs as spares, & put the rock rings on the front two tires. i'll be waking my butt up early tommorrow so i can do something

which sliders did you get? I have the same seats
they sent me a set of flat sliders, seem simple...hopefully they'll work with my 'cage set up.

well planned on getting a lot done yesterday, but just wasn't my day. it was just one problem after another. but did manage to unmount the Boggers from the H1s so that we could start welding on the rock rings & took off the slugs to start doing the brakes, seals, etc. the bearing looks well greased by the PO, hopefully that goes for the rest of the axle. & i'll finish putting my doubler together this weekend with the triple sticks, got my missing gasket & triple boot.
