i kinda like it. might be easier to start with a burb though. hack it off behind the rear wheels and make it the same length as a Blazer (the overhang)

keep it the way it is and just buy a suburban and chop the top. the 2nd attempt was way better, but i stilll like your truck

and u say 72 tahoe and the truck looks like a '67...no side markerlights..i wouldn't dare cut on that thing...start with a k-5 or a suburban...i think that would be easier

another vote for start with a burb, your truck is way to clean to start hacking on. 1st gen burbs seem to sell pretty cheap
that is not even my truck, i just used it for the pick. i have 2 ok cabs and have started a 4 door conversion, its a totaly disassembled truck im using.
i have a powerstroke sitting in the frame now with auto trans and manual t-case, a 97 d60 front and a ford 10.25 rear end. and i want to build a burley rig to pull my quads to the dunes. i figure i could have a custom 2 wall soft top that lands on the custom cage. i think it would be a fun truck.
heres what im working with. and i do have a long bed that is in very good shape to use, wich i will cut down.
custom cab 4dr project with sub doors.
freshly blasted and por15 72 4wd frame, with the powerstroke motor, trans and transfercase.

ahhhh.... makes a lot more sense now. Holy shnikes that is gonna rock. I like the idea of a double walled soft top.

yea that changes everything go for the tahoe like you drew out, wouldn't be but takin your 4 door cutting the back wall out and put the back top off of a 'burb on it, or make it where its removeable, kinda like an avalanche
