I have one on my parts truck that I'd like to use. The original is about 18 gal and this one is 26 gal. I had to cut the rusted bolts to get it out, and need to replace them but have no idea how to get info on that. There is no brand label or model number that I've found. Anyone know anything about these?

classicparts.com and manestruckparts.com both have after market tank kits in steel and poly for sale and the mounting straps. I haven't seen the hardware available seperate though. If it's a simple "t" or "j" bolt you might be able to fabricate something.

Is it a fuel cell or just a replacement gas tank? The gas tanks just used straps with long "j" bolts to hold it against the frame. If it's a fabricated fuel cell type thing, then it's probably difficult to know.

I'm working on this currently and have done much research on this.

If you want a steal tank like OEM go with Spectra Premuim. You can get it at rockauto.com. They make tanks in Canada and sell to OEM. This repo tank is better then the original and only cost about 120 bucks. Do not get any other steel tank as it is made in China.

If you want a plastic tank get a MTS tank.

MTS is the only place that I'm aware that sells sending units still made in the USA. The parts are not like OEM as it uses more plastic. If you want to rebuld your sending unit AC Deco still sells the sock at the end of your sending unit. They also sell the cam and seal.

I've done much research on this and I feel this is the best advice as far as parts.

Since I just bought a new steel tank today i did some looking. When I checked rockauto.com they didn't list tanks for the 69-72 models, only 73+.
